Neighbourhood Update Hello Resident. I hope you’re doing well. I am Police Community Support Officer Ben Priest here to give you the weekly Neighbour Hood Update.
What has our team been doing? Our officers attended Bartley Lodge Care Home where they visited and spoke to residents about any questions may have for us, or any questions they may have for something within the area of Bartley Green.
Our team attended Holloway Hall for our monthly Cuppa With A Coppa, where our team spoke to residents about any issues or enquires, they may have, and helped those with answers and advice to help them better understand what is going on or what to do in the future.
Upcoming events for August Here you can find a list for our future community events with the following dates and times: We have a Cuppa With A Coppa event at ST Francis Centre on 14/10/26 from 10:30-11:30 AM. That is then followed by another Cuppa with a Coppa at Milebrook Hall on 15/10/26 at 10:00-11:00 AM. Then three days later we have our P.A.C.T meeting at Milebrook Hall on 18/10/26 at 20:00-21:00 PM. On 23/10/26 at 11:00-12:00 AM, our officers will be at Bartley Green Library on Adams Hill where you can come and speak to us about any concerns you may have.
What’s been occurring in Bartley Green Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three reports of cars being broken into, with personal items being stolen. We first advise you to lock your car and make sure your windows are fully up and not down in any way. We then advise you to take any personal items out of your vehicle. Whether that be wallets, phones, hang bags/rucksacks and even empty plastic bags. As offenders will see these items and will see an opportunity to break in and take them. So removing them out of the vehicle will reduce the risk of offenders wanting to break into your vehicle.
Since the last WMNOW message, we have had five reports of vulnerable adults, where for each call to service, our officers came out and made sure that everyone is okay, have adequate support from family/friends, and have assistance from our partners through the use of police referrals.
Additional Information We encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us to solve crimes and get a positive outcome, as your CCTV cameras can provide us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer. Use the link below to register your CCTV cameras by putting in the relevant details what the West Midlands Police website asks of you CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police
As of this moment we currently have 1024 members signed up to Bartley Green on wmnow. If you know someone who may have an interest in joining, then please share them this links below, so that they can fill out the boxes the websites ask of them.
We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff work extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what is something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||
